COPD Mobile Tracker
iOS App design, UX & UI design
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, is a long-lasting obstruction of the airways that occurs with chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and/or asthma and effects nearly 10% of the population. People with COPD experience different levels of suffering on a daily basis. Being able to track the level of suffering and measure it against key causes, such as humidity, pollen count and general weather conditions will allow doctors to monitor patients and better prescribe medications and help alleviate suffering. We were tasked with developing an app that allows sufferers of COPD to track their health and share data with their caregiver. This in turn allows them to monitor and control medication and improve their quality of life.
The COPD tracker allows people to track and share their symptoms with their caregiver. The app allows users to monitor how they are feeling- if they are having any shortness of breath, trouble sleeping, tightness in the chest or any signs of distress. The COPD tracker app relates this data with weather, air quality, humidity and wind- all of which have an effect on sufferers of COPD. This data is shared with caregivers who will prescribe medication more accurately because of the apps data input.
